The EPC2200 Electronic Control Unit is an in-line electronic device designed to be used with booster pumps in order to maintain water pressure from the pumps by instantly sensing water usage & automatically starting the pump depending on demand. It is also able to sense when no water is available for the pump, cutting it out and preventing dry running which will damage the booster pump. The ECU benefits from an automatic mode that turns on the pump when water is needed and when operating, an LED illuminates to inform the user of the pumps operation.
However, when there is no water available for the booster pump, a failure LED flashes, alerting the user of a fault within the system.A manual mode is also offered by the ECU, which will start or stop the booster pump based on pressures within the system. This setting can be set in increments, so that the pump is switched on when water pressure falls below a minimum level and cutting it out when it reaches beyond the maximum pressure as stipulated by the user. The manual setting also benefits from a wider pressure range, from 0.5bar to 6bar.The ECU also features a digital display which displays in real-time the pressure within the system, helping to identify if there is an issue with pressure being too high or low.
